What is ESI Registration?

Employees' State Insurance (ESI) is a self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian workers. It is managed by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the ESI Act, 1948.

Registration is mandatory for organizations employing 10 or more persons (20 in some states) where employees earn up to ?21,000 per month. The scheme is funded by contributions from both employers (3.25%) and employees (0.75%), providing them with full medical care and financial protection during sickness, maternity, or disability.
